Bob Philippe

Bob graduated from the NIDA Acting course in 1980 and worked professionally as an actor in Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra. A foundation member of Valley Artists he has been involved in many Laguna/Wollombi productions over the years and was co-writer with Alan Glover, and actor in the highly acclaimed and very funny ‘Radio Wollombi'.

Bob is a School Teacher in the Cessnock area. He has taught Drama, written, directed and produced numerous school productions and is currently administering a remedial literacy program in a primary school.

Bob's involvement with Valley Artists has included work as an MC, stand-up comic, Dramaturg, writer, actor and director. His directing credits include ‘Come To Bits', ‘The Removalists', ‘Hotel Sorrento', ‘Aladdin', ‘Honour', ‘The Importance of Being Earnest', ‘Summer of the Seventeenth Doll' and ‘Away'.

Bob is currently casting David Williamson's ‘Money and Friends' for Valley Artists.
