What we achieved in 2003:

We ran another successful sponsorship drive enabling the company to have sufficient funds for productions/workshops & scholarships.

We delivered ‘Hearts of the Valley' for our sponsors dinner.

During this we were in rehearsal for ‘Honour'. Thanks to Bob Philippe & the cast & crew for a wonderful production.

In February we had also started Randai Workshops with Indija Mahjoeddin mentoring Wayne Van Keren. Indija was paid $8,000.00 through a grant from the Commonwealth Regional Arts Fund for mentoring Wayne

Quest Perilous was one of the harder productions to get through & maintain a positive attitude to. I believe this had a lot to do with it being a ten month project, which here in the valley is a long haul, given everyone's work, private life, etc. It is hard to maintain the momentum needed to carry through for this period of time.

It was an experiment in community theatre.

This January, we have sent two people on Nida scholarships for lighting design They are Karen Butler-Hues & Iain Saxon.

We welcome a new director for the first planned production of 2004 - Fi Burless. She will direct 'The Anniversary'.

I want to thank Belinda Philip for helping me personally get through this year, from stopping me going insane at times and for being an incredibly efficient treasurer.

I owe a huge thankyou to Bill Bottomley for graphic design on both productions this year & Gilli Moon who continually updates our website wherever she is in the world.

Also thanks to Col Philip who is threatening to leave me if I don't get out of this overburdening workload. On that note I am resigning as the president & marketing director for the company. I have been president for three years & it is time to move over & let someone else take the role. I intend to direct the end of year production for VA and need the time & space to concentrate on making it a success.

Thanks to you all for having me & tolerating my crazy outbursts of creativity.
