Money and Friends - July 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10.

When David Williamson's Money and Friends was performed at the Sydney Theatre Company, box office revenue in its first season was $1.221 million. Critics loved it ? "His script is witty ? laced with acid".

"...the characters are so perfectly drawn and the dialogue so dense with implication and authenticity ? one is left laughing at the tragedy of greed, selfishness and unrealistic expectation."

What happens when friends are suddenly asked to measure that friendship in money? The residents of Crystal Inlet are about to find out, when Peter runs into some financial trouble and confides in his friend Margaret, who tells Penny, who is once more trying to get together with Stephen; and social climbers Alex and Vicki; and TV producer Conrad and his pregnant wife Jaquie and Conrad' son Justin, who may be just a little too attractive for some of the women...

Margaret suggests that they band together to help Peter through his financial difficulties. As one critic noted "Rats have not abandoned sinking ships any faster." Come with us to Crystal Inlet to see the results!
