AUDITIONS for next April's production of 'THE RISE AND FALL OF LITTLE VOICE'.
'Little Voice' is written by Jim Cartwright and will be directed by Janine Oliver (The Finnys & Wind in the Willows).
An interesting story of a shy young woman who lives the life of a recluse listening to the records of her late father in her bedroom. In the process she tends to drive her loud-mouthed mother to distraction. One evening LV is overheard by one of her mother's boyfriends, who just happens to be a talent scout. He recognises her talent and realises this could be his last chance at making the big time. He organises a performance at the local night club. As the big night arrives everything is in readiness, but what about LV?
Janine is searching for a talented singer between the ages of 18 - 30, who is able to sing the songs of the great divas such as Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Shirley Bassey and Nina Simone. Singing lessons and guidance will be provided by Valley Artists. Audition date: 11 October, 2008.
