Casting is well under way for our end of year production, A A Milne's The Ugly Duckling, but there are still opportunities to get involved. We need a few more members for the cast, some stage crew, a singer for a barber shop quartet, and a co-producer. So if you can talk, walk, sing, make stuff or boss people around, and want to put these talents to good and enjoyable use, contact Director Cordelia on 4998 8110.
Performance dates are October 30 to November 7, 2009
We'll also be announcing a series of workshops in basic acting skills in the near future - commencing early August through early September. A wonderful opportunity to gain valuable skills - who knows where it could lead!
Entries for the 2009 Wollombi Valley Short Film Festival are open! Screening will be on October 3 at Laguna Hall.
This is the long weekend so be sure to invite your friends up and enjoy the film festival and all the other exciting events in the Valley. If you are thinking of putting in a film this year - download an entry form from our website. Cash prizes and fame await!
Over the years, Valley Artists has provided an opportunity for people to get involved in theatre on many levels - behind the scenes as well as in the spotlight. If you have any sort of yearning to be part of a theatre company with very high standards and a record of fine productions, it's not that difficult to become involved, and you'll certainly be welcomed!
